Reporting infringement
If you believe material on this website or in one of our games infringes copyright you own or represent, send a notice to [email protected] with the subject line “Copyright notice”.
Please include:
- Enough detail to identify the copyrighted work you say has been infringed.
- Enough detail to identify the material you are complaining about, and where it is — a URL, or a description of where it appears in the game.
- Your name, address and email so we can contact you.
- A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and — under penalty of perjury — that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act for them.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
What we do with it
We review every notice. If the complaint is well-founded we remove or disable access to the material, and we tell whoever provided it what happened and why.
We will not act on a notice that is missing the elements above, because we cannot verify it — we will write back and say what is missing rather than ignore you.
Counter-notice
If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, send a counter-notice to the same address including:
- Identification of the material and where it was before removal.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith it was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, email, and consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
We may restore the material after a statutory waiting period unless the original complainant tells us they have filed a court action.
A word about bad-faith notices
Knowingly making a material misrepresentation in a takedown notice or a counter-notice carries legal liability, including for the other side’s costs. Please be sure before you send one.
Repeat infringers
We terminate the accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.
